Arts All-Star: Andrew Platt

DEKALB, New York (WWNY) - Andrew Platt started playing trumpet in fifth grade. Then his music instructor asked him if he’d like to switch to baritone.

He agreed, “and I haven’t looked back since. It was one of the best choices I’ve ever made.”

The instrumentalist from Hermon-DeKalb is this week’s 7 News Arts All-Star.

He said while it’s fun to hang out with friends and play music, “regardless of whether it’s with others or by myself, I enjoy playing overall,” he said. “It makes me feel free.”
