Tamara M. Gunsauls, 50, of Norfolk

NORFOLK, New York (WWNY) - Tamara M. Gunsauls, 50, of 1487 County Route 36, passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2023 at her mother’s home.

Tamara was born on November 1, 1973 in Potsdam, daughter of Lorraine Zender. She attended local area schools and worked for the Massena Hospital as a cleaner. She had previously worked at the former St. Regis Nursing Home.

Her family was her life, and she cherished every moment she had with her children and grandson. She loved birds, flowers and her plants.

Tamara is survived by her children Alyssa Gunsauls of Massena; and Madison (Mason Moody) Gunsauls of Massena; her grandchild Liam Huckle; her mother Lorraine Zender of Massena; her companion Christopher Smith of Norfolk; her sister Amanda Zender of Massena; and four brothers Carl (Kristen) Zender of Hannawa Falls; Brian (Erika) Zender of Massena; Almonza (Jana Barney) Zender of Massena; and Eric (Nichole) Zender of California.

There will be no public calling hours or funeral service.

Memorial donations may be made in Tamara’s memory to Hope Lodge in Burlington, VT.
