Richard Steele Hart, 83, of Henderson Harbor

HENDERSON HARBOR, New York (WWNY) - Richard Steele Hart, 83, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023 at the Hospice Residence of Jefferson County.

No public services will be held at this time. A Celebration-of-Life gathering will be held later in 2024, along with a burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Adams, with his late wife Virginia.

Richard was born on December 21, 1939 in Adams, New York, son of the late Lawrence W. and Helen (Steele) Hart. He married Virginia Rizzo Hart, who predeceased him in 2014.

Richard was the former owner and operator of a design company in Illinois. He later returned to Northern New York, and enjoyed time spent on Lake Ontario in Henderson Harbor and Sackets Harbor.

Survivors include a son, Brian (Alexa) Klingberg of Florida and a daughter Lisa Marcordes of Illinois as well as his grandchildren, Parker Steele Marcordes, Bree Elizabeth Marcordes, and Ali Marie Travis.
