Brenon Jay Crowder, 53, of Theresa

THERESA, New York (WWNY) - Brenon Jay Crowder, 53, of Red Lake Rd., passed away, Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Born on August 7, 1970 at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, NY, he was a son of Terry and Penny Dwyer Stuhlmiller. He attended Theresa Elementary School and graduated from Indian River Central School in 1988.

Brenon worked for PTL Contracting, Theresa, NY, for twenty years, then he was owner and operator of Crowder’s Exit 49 Gas and Grocery, LaFargeville, NY, and most recently he was an HVAC Technician for Cook Contracting, Antwerp, NY.

He was a member of the Theresa Rotary.

Brenon enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, grilling and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include three children, son, Dylan Crowder, son, Noah, and daughter, Madison; his parents, Penny and Terry Stuhlmiller, Palm Bay, FL; his maternal grandmother, Ilda Dwyer, Theresa, NY; three siblings, brother and sister-in-law, William and Patricia Crowder, Theresa, NY, sister and brother-in-law, Terra and Leland Lear, Watertown, NY, sister and brother-in-law, Trisha and Dennis Kriwox, Clayton, NY; aunts and uncles, Brenda Dingman, Daniel and Candace Dwyer, Kevin and Rhonda Dwyer, Patti and Richard Burt, Steven and Debbie Dwyer, all of Theresa, NY; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

His maternal grandfather, Kenneth Dwyer passed away previously.

Memorial Services will be 4 pm, Friday, November 17, 2023 at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa, NY, with Rev. Dr. Shea Zellweger, Presbyterian Minister for Theresa and Hammond, NY, officiating.

Calling hours will be from 1-4 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Private burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Theresa, NY, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Brenon’s family requests any donations be made to Frederick Bros. Funeral Home of Theresa to help with funeral expenses.
