Lexi Bruening joined the 7 News team as a reporter in May 2020.
She graduated from SUNY Oswego with a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Mass Communication. At Oswego, Lexi worked at the student-run television station as a producer, anchor, and assignment director.
Lexi was born and raised in Syracuse, where she interned and worked part-time as a Digital Content Producer at CNYCentral (WSTM/WTVH).
Though she has always had a love for news, but her experiences in that newsroom convinced her she was on the right path.
When she’s not reporting, Lexi sings with her barbershop chorus, The Spirit of Syracuse. Lexi also enjoys traveling and experiencing new places with family and friends.
