Sean Brynda

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Sean Brynda is a multi-media journalist with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He currently serves as the St. Lawrence County Bureau reporter for WWNY-TV.

At the MU School of Journalism, Sean worked as an on-air reporter for KOMU-TV and as a Missouri state government reporter for the Columbia Missourian Newspaper.

Sean also worked part-time reporting on international issues for the online program, Global Journalist which can also be found on NPR.

In addition, he worked as a part-time reporter in Costa Rica during the winter of 2022 for Noticias Monteverde, an independent news organization with both English and Spanish-speaking audiences. Sean focused on climate reporting in the country.

Earning his Eagle Scout rank in 2017, Sean continues to enjoy the outdoors and can be found hiking the trails in and around St. Lawrence County.

He also enjoys cycling, lacrosse, and water skiing.
